Technical Specialist - Embedded Qt Software Architect (Relocation Assistance)

Baxter seeks an experienced Embedded Qt Software Architect to design and develop user interface software for the Novum Infusion Pump Platform. The role combines technical leadership, Qt framework expertise, and embedded systems development within a regulated medical device environment.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and development of Qt-based user interface software for medical devices
Collaborate cross-functionally to define software requirements and comprehensive test cases
Mentor junior engineers on C++ design patterns, secure coding, and Qt best practices
Partner with QA and hardware teams to ensure regulatory compliance and reliable interfaces
Develop and maintain detailed architecture documentation, conduct design reviews, and drive quality assurance

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
10+ years software development experience with embedded systems and Qt or similar UI SDKs
Proficiency with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and Git
5+ years experience in regulated industry software development and validation
Strong knowledge of IEC 62304, IEC 60601, ISO 14971, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, EU MDR
Expert-level C/C++ development for embedded platforms and design pattern implementation
