Peer Counselor - Parent Partner (FBH Certified Peer Counselor)

Overview WE'RE GROWING! HIRING A PEER COUNSELOR (PARENT PARTNER) VANCOUVER, WA / PORTLAND METRO AREA (Oak View Site - Located Near Vancouver Mall) Catholic Community Services, Family Behavioral Health is seeking a Parent Partner to join our team of clinical professionals who provide individualized, evidence‑based services in families’ homes and community settings. Responsibilities Peer Counselors (Parent Partners) are individuals with personal history as a parent of a youth or child who has received behavioral health, child welfare, complex medical coordination or juvenile justice services. They use that personal experience to build support with families. Successful peers collaborate with clinicians, provide support, and help families achieve confidence and recovery goals. They contribute their unique perspective to treatment planning and help families maintain hope after formal behavioral health services conclude. Responsibilities include working in community‑based settings and family homes, scheduling flexibly to meet families’ needs, and providing culturally competent support. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Age 21 or older. Personal lived experience as a parent of a child who has been or is receiving community or mental health services within the past ten years. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current insurance with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to visually assess safety within family homes and in the community. Availability to flex some work hours. Demonstrated culturally competent skills and knowledge for working in multi‑cultural settings. Applicant must successfully pass required background clearances. Benefits Starting Pay Range: $25.18 - $27.07 per hour First Responder pay: $75.00 per pay period (twice per month) Additional pay based on performance. 12 paid holidays; plus 1 personal holiday each year. 3 weeks vacation per year. 12 sick days per year. Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance. Life Insurance (1 time annual salary). 403-B Employee Savings Plan and a Employer Contribution Pension. Training and Supervision Extensive training (e.g., WISe, De‑Escalation). Daily supervision and support as needed.
