Summary We are seeking a qualified Litigation Assistant to join our team. In this role you will manage day‑to‑day law firm operations, providing administrative support to the legal team. The ideal candidate is organized, possesses strong problem‑solving skills, and thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic workplace. Responsibilities Perform administrative duties such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Improve administrative processes for more efficient workflow. Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation. Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings and contracts. Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with reports, case files, and legal advice. Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, and resolve billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney. Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions. Maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems. Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business needs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, paralegal certificate, or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred). At least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department), legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal. Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury‑related practice areas preferred. Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage workload with minimal supervision. Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency in scheduling depositions, mediations, and hearings. Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures. Highly organized and able to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpm.
