Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Must-Have: Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Description: Looking for highly motivated critical care nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environment. We provide care to critically ill patients needing specialized treatment. Our unit frequently receives patients with complex diagnoses and surgical needs. We serve patients requiring care for cardiothoracic surgery and neuro/neurosurgery. During the pandemic, the team has also provided ICU-level care for critically ill patients. The unit has a capacity of 15 beds. Patients served include those experiencing cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, and other severe cardiovascular conditions. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. Direct patient care staff consists of Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians. Certified staff must maintain BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
