Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team in Tampa, FL. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training to patients.
• Help patients improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and range of motion.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises, safe mobility techniques, and rehabilitation goals.
• Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately in medical records.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
• Follow established clinical protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing, as required for the position.
• Previous clinical experience preferred; new graduates may be considered depending on the employer's requirements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation techniques, and patient safety practices.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including assisting patients with mobility and transfers.
