Qualifications Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a valid license to practice in Illinois. Experience in occupational medicine or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Strong clinical skills and a passion for preventive care and health promotion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently. A commitment to continuing education and professional development. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards is an asset. Basic computer literacy and proficiency in electronic health record systems. A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference in the community. Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a dynamic and collaborative practice environment. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, providing timely and effective care. Perform a range of physicals, including DOT, pre‑employment, and return‑to‑work assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations. Conduct OSHA‑mandated exams, respirator clearances, and drug/alcohol testing, promoting a safe and healthy work environment. Emphasize injury prevention and early intervention strategies, working closely with employers to implement safe return‑to‑work plans. Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and employer partners to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered care.
