Job Summary

An IHOP server's role involves welcoming and seating guests, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages promptly, managing multiple tables efficiently, and providing excellent customer service. They also handle payments, maintain cleanliness, and ensure compliance with IHOP's policies and safety guidelines to create a positive dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

Greeting and seating customers.

Presenting menus and explaining menu items.

Taking accurate food and beverage orders from customers.

Communicating special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen.

Ensuring the prompt and accurate delivery of orders to tables.

Refilling beverages and attending to guests' needs throughout the meal.

Recommending additional menu items and upselling specials.

Presenting bills, processing payments, and providing change or receipts.

Clearing and cleaning tables efficiently. Stocking required products. Cleaning and Clearing server area.

Resetting tables with clean utensils, napkins, and condiments.

Addressing customer concerns and complaints professionally.

Collaborating with kitchen staff, hosts/hostesses, and fellow servers for smooth service.

Following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Adhering to IHOP's policies and procedures.

Qualifications
