PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Warwick RI 02888 - 100% on-site
• Payrate: $65.75/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Rotating shift
• 2-3 shifts: 9:30 AM-6:00 PM + 2-3 shifts: 2:00 PM-11:00 PM
• Potential Saturday coverage

PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:


The Pharmacist will be responsible for safely dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, maintaining accurate records, and supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential medication-related concerns.
• Counsel patients regarding medications, including proper use, dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Provide services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
• Compound medications for external or internal use.
• Prepare sterile solutions according to proper procedures.
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy staff.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Ensure pharmacy practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and established procedures.

PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS :

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Current state pharmacist license required.
• Flexibility to work the required schedule, including potential Saturday coverage.
