Make a meaningful impact supporting a young learner as a one-on-one paraprofessional in an educational setting near Stillwater, MN for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position is ideal for someone fluent in, or motivated to grow in, American Sign Language (ASL). You’ll be working closely with an elementary student whose IEP has identified the need for a signing paraprofessional, ensuring access and engagement throughout their daily activities. The role begins September 2, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, offering the chance to truly make a difference.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly desirable
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (fluent or basic with eagerness to advance skills)
• Ability to build rapport with elementary-aged children
• Commitment to supporting individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Reliable transportation and comfort with commuting to a large, geographically diverse district

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 instructional and communication support to an elementary student using ASL
• Facilitate classroom participation and understanding
• Collaborate closely with educators and IEP teams to implement adapted lesson plans
• Maintain a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive environment
• Assist with daily routines and ensure consistent engagement in learning activities
