We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide private duty nursing care for a 3-year-old child diagnosed with Congenital Myasthenia Gravis in the Southeastern Ocala area. The patient has a tracheostomy and G-tube , requiring skilled nursing support and close monitoring.

Available Shifts:

• Friday Nights: 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM
• Saturday Days: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Saturday Nights: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized 1:1 nursing care in the patient's home
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Perform G-tube feedings, care, and management
• Provide tracheostomy care and monitoring
• Assess patient condition and respond appropriately to changes
• Implement the plan of care using sound clinical judgment
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation
• Follow BrightStar Care policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
• Adhere to HIPAA requirements and maintain patient confidentiality
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Required Skills

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Pediatric, home health, private duty, long-term care, or clinical experience preferred
• Experience with tracheostomy and G-tube care preferred
• Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass background screening
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, and twist as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Visual and hearing acuity required to safely perform nursing duties
