At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture. \CHS Dakota Plains Ag is hiring for an Applicator/Truck Driver in Comstock, MN. This role is a hybrid position where you will be a driver and an applicator depending on the season and business needs. This is a M-F role with overtime opportunities during our spring and fall busy seasons. A CDL is preferred coming in but not required.Under general supervision, apply fertilizer and crop protection products. May require use of a high clearance sprayer or floater. \Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed. \Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner. \Educate customers on products being applied to fields, techniques utilized, and how you can continue to support them with products and services. \Perform warehouse work to including driving loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance. \Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Complete and document daily maintenance inspections. Ensure proper equipment maintenance is completed including repairs, and preventive maintenance. \Training Provided:\n \n Operation of application equipment \1+ years of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Agriculture Application \n ~ Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals \Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card \n Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays and occasional weekends to meet business demands \n High School diploma or GED preferred \n Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred \n Agriculture background and customer experience preferred \n Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred \n Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer \n Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.
