Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients, including administering medications, performing therapeutic procedures, and responding to emergency situations. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal respiratory function and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Evaluate and treat patients through respiratory therapy protocols.
  
  
• 
  Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
  
  
• 
  Respond immediately to rapid response, arrest, or STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways and performing resuscitation.
  
  
• 
  Set up and manage oxygen therapy according to established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Perform diagnostic testing related to the cardio-pulmonary system.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and patient progress.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, with recent skills check documentation.
  
  
• 
  Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Active RRT certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  
  
• 
  Valid Michigan/MI state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
  
  
• 
  Previous travel work experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
