Fund Accounting Manager

A leading real estate private equity firm is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its growing finance team. This is a high-impact role offering direct exposure to senior leadership, complex fund structures, and a diverse portfolio of real estate investments across multiple asset classes. This individual will take ownership of fund-level accounting, reporting, and investor deliverables, while managing relationships with internal teams and external service providers. Key Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle fund accounting for multiple real estate investment vehicles (open-end and closed-end funds, JVs, and SPVs) Review and approve NAV calculations, financial statements, and investor reporting packages Manage capital activity including capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations Coordinate with third-party fund administrators to ensure timely and accurate deliverables Lead quarterly and annual reporting processes, including audit and tax coordination Partner closely with asset management, acquisitions, and investor relations teams Drive process improvements and support system enhancements across the accounting function Mentor and develop junior accounting staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 6-10+ years of experience in fund accounting, with exposure to private equity or real estate funds Strong knowledge of capital structures, waterfalls, and fund mechanics Experience working with or overseeing fund administrators CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred Advanced Excel skills and experience with fund accounting systems Strong attention to detail with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment What’s on Offer Competitive base salary and bonus structure Exposure to a high-growth real estate investment platform Collaborative and entrepreneurial team environment Clear opportunity for progression into senior leadership roles Interested in learning more?
