Maintenance Technician

Now Hiring: Maintenance Technician in Carey, OH Join our production team as a Maintenance Technician and put your mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to work keeping our facility running safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Diagnose equipment issues and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation Support equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements Follow all safety standards and company policies What We're Looking For Previous experience in industrial maintenance or a similar mechanical/electrical role Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems Familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics (preferred, not required) Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Comfortable working independently or as part of a team High school diploma or GED required; technical certification a plus Schedule & Environment Manufacturing/production floor environment Frequent overtime available Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Shift premium Immediate openings – start soon EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
