Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: OR RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience with Davinici, Orthopedic spine, General procedures, Orthopedic totals, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, C-sections, Endoscopy Scrubbing experience required Description: The department consists of 7 operating suites. The average number of cases per day ranges from 15 to 25. Common cases include General surgery, Orthopedics, Robotics, Plastic surgery, ENT, Urology, C-sections, Gynecology, and Endoscopy. RN's are required to scrub in for procedures. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Shifts and scheduling may vary, providing 24-hour coverage. Call requirements are in place for weeknights, weekends, and holidays. The call response time is within 30 minutes. Floating to assist in the Outpatient surgery center may be required. Scrubs will be provided, with personal shoes required to remain in the department. Unit or department-specific orientation will vary according to skills. All personnel must clock in and out while on-site.
