Overall Responsibili tyThe Planned Giving Advisor is responsible for building and managing meaningful relationships with donors to secure planned and deferred charitable gifts, includin g Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) and non-cash gif ts, that advance Food For The Poor's long-term mission and financial sustainability. Through strategic donor engagement, thoughtful stewardship, and consultative gift planning, the Advisor helps individuals create lasting philanthropic legacies while aligning their charitable goals with the organization's missio n. Managing an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects, this role develops and executes individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies; facilitates complex planned gift arrangement s, DAF giving opportunities, and non-cash gift transacti ons; and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to integrate legacy giving into Food For The Poor's overall fundraising strategy. The Advisor serves as a trusted resource throughout the planned giving process, delivering exceptional donor service while contributing to the continued growth and success of the Legacy and Gift Planning progr am. Key Responsibilities and D gementManage an assigned portfolio of planned giving prospects and donors through all phases of cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and relationship manag ement.Develop and execute individualized donor strategies that align philanthropic goals with Food For The Poor's mi ssion.Conduct donor visits, presentations, and ongoing stewardship activities to strengthen donor engagement and secure planned gift commit ments.Maintain accurate portfolio activity, pipeline management, and donor records within the organization 'sCRM.Achieve established fundraising and donor engagem ent goals.Planned Gift Development & Administ rationEducate donors on charitable gift planning opportunities, including bequests, charitable trusts, gift annuities, retirement assets, donor-advised funds, life insurance, and other planned giving veh icles.Prepare customized gift proposals and collaborate with donors' professional advisors to structure and complete planned gifts.Support estate administration, gift documentation, and related planned giving processes while ensuring an exceptional donor exper ience.Serve as a trusted resource for donors and their families throughout the charitable planning pr ocess.Legacy Giving Program Devel opmentSupport the growth of Food For The Poor's Legacy and Gift Planning Program through donor engagement, education, and outreach initia tives.Assist in developing donor communications, educational materials, presentations, and marketing resources that promote legacy g iving.Represent Food For The Poor at donor events, church presentations, seminars, and mission-related activ ities.Promote participation in Legacy Society recognition and stewardship initi ativesDonor Stewardship & Relationship Devel opmentFoster long-term donor relationships through personalized stewardship, impact reporting, and ongoing engag ement.Identify opportunities to deepen donor relationships and encourage continued philanthropic inves tment.Deliver exceptional donor service that reflects the organization's mission, values, and commitment to stewar dship.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Comp lianceCollaborate with Development, Marketing & Communications, Finance, Legal, and other internal partners to ensure coordinated donor engagement and seamless gift administr ation.Provide planned giving expertise and guidance to fundraising colleagues to identify and maximize legacy giving opportun ities.Maintain current knowledge of charitable gift planning practices, tax regulations, and industry trends while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, organizational policies, and ethical fundraising stan dards.Exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential donor and financial inform ation.Perform other duties as n eeded. ucationBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Law, or a related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Professional certifications such as CFRE, CAP®, CFP®, JD, or other planned giving credentials are pre ferred. perienceMinimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in planned giving, major gifts, charitable estate planning, wealth management, financial services, or related philanthropic fund raising.Demonstrated success cultivating, soliciting, and closing planned gifts and other complex charitabl e gifts.Experience working collaboratively with attorneys, accountants, financial planners, trust officers, and other professional a dvisors.Experience managing donor portfolios and utilizing donor relationship management (CRM) systems.Experience working within a Christian, faith-based, or mission-driven nonprofit organization is pr eferred.
