SummaryEstablishes and manages comprehensive intramural and fitness programsEssential Job FunctionsServes as the primary athletics liaison and works collaboratively with Student Engagement office to maintain necessary compliance standards for all university club sports programsResearches trends and new initiatives in order to develop fitness and intramural programming that aligns with student interestsDevelops fitness programming based on student interest, including hiring instructors and securing facilitiesDevelops and conducts surveys of student population and utilizes feedback to make adjustments, as needed, to intramural and fitness programmingManages and assists student organizations with the coordination of club sport athletic schedules, facility assignments and collaborative opportunities with varsity athleticsDevelops and implements marketing plans to promote intramural and recreational sports and fitness programmingAssists with game day operations for varsity athletics home games, as neededPrepares and monitors departmental budgetSupervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional developmentPerforms other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsMinimum of a bachelor's degreeModerate amount of experience working in intramural and/or recreation programming, club sports, coaching, collegiate playing or other related experienceValid U.S. driver's licenseFirst Aid, CPR, AED certification, or willingness to attain such certification(s) upon hirePlease Note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate to live within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until job posting is closed.Johnson & Wales University is an equal opportunity employer.
