Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS certification required, ACLS required, NIHSS required Must-Have: ICU experience required CRRT experience required Balloon Pump experience required Holiday availability required Every other weekend availability required Floating to Progressive Care if needed Description: The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team. The RN is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in assigned areas. The RN will assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques. Responsibilities include obtaining past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests. The RN will be involved in the planning and implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a Physician. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills are required. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Candidates must be able to show respect, caring, and sensitivity towards all individuals. Ethical behavior and responsible stewardship of resources are expected. Collaboration with others is essential to create healthy communities. Delivering services with the highest level of quality while seeking creative innovation is a key responsibility.
