A contract position is available for Speech-Language Pathologists to provide vital services across several school sites in the area. You’ll be working within a collaborative community of professionals, utilizing your SLP expertise to help children reach their full potential. The role begins August 4, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027, with a typical weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.

Requirements:

• Current, valid SLP certification in Alabama
• SLP Educator certificate (verification available via the Alabama certification portal)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 60 students across preschool, elementary, middle, and high school levels
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

Role Expectations:

• Deliver speech-language therapy to students at multiple school sites, including preschools, primary, elementary, middle, and high schools
• Conduct speech/language screenings, assessments, and evaluations as needed
• Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough student records and progress reports in compliance with district and state requirements
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and case conferences
• Adapt services to meet the diverse needs of students across various locations
