Job Description

Join a small, family-operated food equipment manufacturing shop, where you will play a crucial role in TIG welding stainless parts and assemblies for the food industry, focusing primarily on cheese manufacturers. This position involves handling sub-assemblies, grinding down your own welds, and polishing to a food-grade finish of 32R. Occasionally, you will travel to customer sites during shutdowns to perform installations and fixes, requiring long days and occasional overnight stays.

Small Tight knit group that is looking for hardworking Individuals. Pay is around $26 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel parts and assemblies.
• Grind and polish welds to achieve a food-grade finish of 32R.
• Read and interpret blueprints for custom work, ensuring precise fitting to print.
• Travel to customer sites for installations and repairs, involving 12-14 hour workdays and occasional overnight stays.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience on stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in grinding and polishing welds to a food-grade finish of 32R.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with food-grade stainless steel.
• Experience in installations.

Work Environment

Work in a small fabrication/machine shop operating one shift from 6:30 AM to 3 PM. The shop specializes in manufacturing parts and components for the food, dairy, and beverage industries. You will also travel to customer sites within Wisconsin during shutdowns, ensuring repairs and upgrades are completed efficiently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ripon, WI.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
