Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A travel pharmacy technician position is available in Upstate New York, offering a 13-week contract with an ASAP start. This role involves working variable days and afternoons with a schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing sterile and non-sterile compounding to support medication preparation
- Restocking Pyxis machines efficiently to ensure medication availability
- Delivering medications to patient floors promptly and accurately
- Managing incoming pharmacy calls and assisting with inquiries and requests
The ideal candidate will possess a valid New York State Pharmacy Technician license and have a minimum of two years of inpatient pharmacy technician experience. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital setting are essential for success in this role.
