Pediatrician - High-Risk NICU Follow-up Clinic

Pediatrix is seeking a full-time Pediatrician to join their high-risk NICU follow-up clinic in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves caring for children from infancy through age 4 who are at risk of developing special healthcare needs, collaborating with other providers to facilitate developmental support and early intervention. The position offers an opportunity to work in a hospital-based outpatient setting with a manageable patient volume.

Practice Info

• High-risk NICU follow-up clinic
• Collaborates with pediatricians and other community providers
• Hospital-based outpatient clinics located at Methodist Children's Hospital, North Central Baptist Hospital and Christus Children's Hospital
• Manageable patient volume
• Limited developmental testing

Responsibilities

• Care for children from infancy through age 4 who may be at risk of developing special health care needs
• Collaborate with pediatricians and other community providers to facilitate optimal developmental support, early intervention, family support, and specialized care
• Offer additional support and education for parents and caregivers
• See babies who have just come out of the NICU and require follow-up care

Shift & Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm schedule
• No weekends, no call

Requirements

• Comfortable seeing babies who have just come out of the NICU and require follow-up care
• BC/BE Pediatrician
