Food Runners at Tacombi play an essential role in ensuring smooth service flow and delivering dishes with speed, accuracy, and genuine Mexican Hospitality. As a vital member of the Front of House team, you help maintain the connection between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring guests receive their meals promptly, beautifully presented, and exactly as intended.

You bring energy, attention to detail, and a guest-first mindset to every shift.

• Deliver dishes to guests with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Provide brief menu knowledge when presenting dishes, ensuring guests understand what they’re receiving.
• Anticipate guest needs and support the service team with refills, additional items, or follow-up requests.
• Support servers and supervisors in delivering the true Tacombi experience from start to finish.
• Assist in resolving guest concerns with positivity and urgency, involving management when necessary.

• Maintain constant communication with the kitchen to ensure correct and timely food delivery.
• Ensure all dishes leaving the pass meet Tacombi’s quality and presentation standards.
• Coordinate with servers to prioritize orders and maintain smooth service flow.
• Keep work areas—including expo, pass, and service stations—clean, stocked, and organized.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including side work, restocking, and cleanup tasks.
• Follow all food safety procedures, Department of Health standards, and Tacombi operating guidelines.

• Represent Tacombi’s mission, values, and cultural hospitality with pride.
• Maintain professional communication, appearance, and conduct throughout every shift.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Tacombi’s menu offerings, ingredients, and service style.

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both FOH and BOH teams.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
• English/Spanish bilingual abilities are a plus. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to lift and carry food trays and up to 25 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move quickly and safely through a busy dining space.
• Comfort working in warm kitchen environments and exposure to common allergens, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Adequate vision, hearing, and dexterity to communicate clearly and transport food safely.

This is a tipped position and the statutory tip credit will be applied accordingly for tipped work.
