Job Overview This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lothian Renal Dietetic team as a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner based primarily at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The post is part‑time and will be pro‑rata in salary. The team includes a Band 7 Advanced Dietetic Practitioner, Band 6 Specialist Dietitians, 1 rotational Band 5 Dietitian and a Dietetic Assistant (this post). Responsibilities Provide clinical support and administrative duties to enable the delivery of high‑quality care to patients managed by the Renal Dietitians. Support kidney, pancreas and islet transplant services and dialysis unit patients across the three acute hospital sites in Lothian. Deliver direct patient management, group education, and coordination of administration tasks as required. Assist with other tasks to support the wider dietetic team as needed. Qualifications and Conditions Applicants must meet the following requirements: Membership/record in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult). Compliance with any changes in criminal record checks that may arise from legislative changes effective 1 April 2025. Relevant dietetics experience and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary renal team.
