On any given day, you will be helping people in our community who are downsizing, dealing with loss of a loved one, feeling overwhelmed to part with sentimental items they no longer need, and so much more. You will need to be empathetic to every customer, every time. At Junkluggers, you will learn a variety of skills that can translate to almost any field you endeavor to choose. This job exposes you to critical and applicable life and business skills which apply to your future/ongoing careers. Some of the skills you will learn include: Sales Skills Project Management Critical Thinking and Problem-solving Logistics and Scheduling How to tackle challenges with a good mindset What You’ll Do You will learn how to become a true Junklugger and that starts with looking, acting and being friendly – starting with the uniform, and continuing with your attitude. Educate clients about our value prior to giving an estimate, ensuring 100% satisfaction. SAFELY operate the removal of items and truck at all times. Make sure all daily truck inspections are performed (tire pressure, oil, equipment, etc). Make sure truck has enough supplies, safety equipment and marketing material. Help with in-field marketing. Responsibilities Treat team members and customers with care and respect by providing knock-your-socks-off service. Greet and educate customers on our services to demonstrate our value. Operate company vehicle safely. (No CDL needed. Training provided.) and follows all traffic laws. Immediately reports any incident or accident. Safely load, transport, and unload customer’s unwanted items. Work with community donation, recycling, and disposal partners to dispose of items the green way. and at the lowest cost. Prepares accurate job estimates, effectively negotiates with customers and collects payment when required. Ensures data entry to the system job ticket is correct and complete. Become an operational decision maker to run your route efficiently and profitably (what can be donated and recycled and where, how to safely and efficiently and profitably complete a job). Meets the modified gross profit targets. Maintain trucks and equipment with daily inspections and reporting of any observed issues.Fill outs truck maintenance, fuel and supply reports as required. Execute guerilla marketing tactics as directed. Partner with leadership to embrace, implement, and promote continuous improvement. Qualifications Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – this is a customer-facing role Safety-first mindset Ability to learn and use technology in the field to execute job requirements, quickly and efficiently Ability to problem solve on the fly to get the job done Obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record (no accidents in at least 3 years) Supply and reliably use your own mobile phone Uses good judgment and decision making to ensure job is done quickly, efficiently, and is profitable Maintains a good clean presence and is punctual Ability to lift 75 lbs.
