As a Data Scientist, you will be a key contributor to the technical solution. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you'll help develop and deploy the data pipelines that organize and make disparate data meaningful. You will collaborate with your team and end-users to understand their requirements, then use that insight to help implement the data ontology, support analyses, and configure user-facing applications and workflows. Your goal is to be a vital part of the team closing the gap between raw data and operational impact. You will be embedded with clients, working in a fast-paced, agile environment where you take on increasing responsibility for key components of the solution. You Have: 2+ years of experience utilizing programming languages, including C++, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply data in forms needed for business analysis Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team Experience developing scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats, and supporting the project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms Secret clearance Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience with data engineering, including application or software development in a professional environment, or 3+ years of experience with data engineering, including application or software development in a professional environment, in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have: Experience in application development utilizing SQL Experience with Palantir Foundry Experience working with Maven Smart Systems Experience working with Node.js and languages that transpile to JavaScript Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications Experience with data warehousing, including AWS Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake Experience with advanced automation of software delivery, including Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, containerization such as Docker, and orchestration such as Kubernetes or EKS, aligned to DevSecOps practices Compensation at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
