Medical Staff Coordinator Work location: 6100 Harris Southwest Fort. Worth, TX 76132 Hours: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Hybrid flexibility available after 90 days, 2–3 days on-site and the remaining days remote. Diploma or Equivalent required Associate’s degree Preferred 2 years medical staff or hospital credentialing experience required ER call scheduling experience preferred MD Staff credentialing software experience highly preferred Medical Staff Coordinator certification preferred upon hire; candidates must obtain certification within 6 months of hire Responsibilities Coordinate and process requests for applications, evaluate eligibility for application receipt according to bylaws. Upon receipt of a complete application, initiate the information collection, verification, and documentation process per established procedures. Enter or post requested privileges in database. Provide statistical information on the credentialing process by accurately recording start and completion dates. Manage and maintain accurate and up‑to‑date online portal database and credentials files for all appointees as assigned. Provide follow‑up support to all practitioners as needed. Monitor the reappointment process from initiation to completion according to established policies and procedures, ensuring timely completion of reappointment application process and renewal of privileges. Prepare agendas for committee meetings in collaboration with the meeting Chair and other staff who may need to be involved. Reserve a room, send notifications, attend meetings, record accurate minutes, and follow up as appropriate. Facilitate election of new Department officers and review and recommend privilege revisions as needed. Serve as a resource for hospital staff, physicians, APPs, AHPs and their office staff in relation to Medical Staff activities. Perform additional duties that are temporary in nature due to business needs, including development of credentialing criteria for new privileges, processing requests for additional privileges, responding to internal and external customers requiring reports or information, and special projects.
