Prototype CNC Programmer/ Machinist

divh2Prototype Machinist/h2pThe Prototype Machinist will be responsible for machining precision components for engine prototypes and test fixtures. This role requires strong CNC programming and machining experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast paced RD environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-driven, and comfortable working with both CNC and manual equipment./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliProgram, set up, and operate CNC milling machines and lathes, with an emphasis on multi-axis milling./liliUtilize Haas and Fanuc controls to execute complex machining operations./liliCreate and optimize machining programs using MasterCam (preferred)./liliProduce high-precision prototype components from engineering drawings, 3D models, and sketches./liliInspect parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met./liliOperate manual machine tools, including:/liliSurface grinder/liliBridgeport mill/liliManual lathe/liliCollaborate closely with engineers, designers, and technicians to refine prototype designs./liliMaintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment./liliAssist in developing machining processes, tooling selections, and fixture designs for prototype builds./li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliProficiency operating and programming CNC mills and lathes; experience with multi-axis milling strongly preferred./liliStrong working knowledge of Haas and Fanuc controls./liliExperience programming and tool-pathing using MasterCam (preferred but not required)./liliDemonstrated ability to operate manual machine tools (surface grinder, Bridgeport, manual lathe)./liliAbility to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and GDT./liliStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on prototype projects./liliHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality./li/ul/div
