Position Overview We are committed to providing our interns with a well‑rounded internship experience. Our intern is responsible for supporting project managers and estimators on a wide variety of design and construction projects. We will provide the training and guidance necessary to successfully complete assigned tasks. Internship Objectives Familiarize yourself with the electrical construction industry Introducing the various project management responsibilities, tasks, and duties of a project manager Aid in acquiring specific job skills that will help you transition into a career in construction management Your Summer Will Be Filled With Learning from the very best in the electrical design and construction industry Friendships and mentorships that last a lifetime Taking part in job walks and project progress meetings Identifying the scope of work, as well as the development of estimates and proposals Exposure to construction documents and contracts Writing RFI’s, as well as assisting with COP development and posting drawings Assisting with submittal preparation and document control Researching job- and project-related issues Gaining exposure and understanding of construction safety, purchasing, and field work Qualification Requirements A Junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering Strong work ethic; willing to do what it takes to get the job done Strong communication skills Track record of leadership and teamwork Ability to multi‑task and follow‑up on tasks as needed Willingness to ask questions to ensure understanding Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and BlueBeam preferred Compensation This role will pay $30/hour + eligible for a $1,000 scholarship upon completion.
