Pharmacy Technician – Contract (13 Weeks)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Variable Shifts (Day/Evening) | Expected 40 hours/week | Shifts are 8 hours in length with availability required between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM | No call required

Key Responsibilities

• Work within a high-volume hospital pharmacy setting supporting day and evening shift operations
• Perform duties in the IV room / sterile compounding space , requiring strict adherence to aseptic technique
• Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technician staff across multiple shifts to ensure accurate and timely medication preparation and dispensing
• Utilize the facility's EMR system (Meditech) for documentation and workflow management
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy policies, unit guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience
• IV room certification and sterile compounding experience required
• Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique required
• Active Pharmacy Technician registration or licensure as required by the state of Texas
• Ability to work variable shifts with availability between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Sterile compounding certification (e.g., PTCB CSPT or equivalent)
• Experience working in a large, acute care hospital pharmacy environment (450+ bed facility)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
