About the Role: We are currently seeking a qualified actuary to join our GMP Equalisation team. We have a unique approach to solving the problems around GMP and are looking for technically minded people to join our large GMP team. Previous experience in GMP calculations is an advantage, but a desire and ability to grasp complex actuarial concepts and find solutions to them is required. Key Responsibilities: Reviewing and signing off on complex actuarial models and calculations Reviewing written advice to clients on this topic Delivering that advice to clients in meetings (if desired) Regular liaison and communication with the GMP team, client team and other departments in XPS As the GMP projects wind down, taking on wider technical career opportunities involving technical focused avenues Opportunity to get involved in specialist research and development teams in areas that interest you Your Profile (Essential): A keen interest in actuarial concepts, the wider pensions industry and financial landscape An inquisitive mind and a desire to learn Highly motivated and driven to succeed Ability to problem solve and come up with solutions Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail Adaptable and a team‑player Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively Qualifications: FIA qualification What We Offer: Competitive salary, annual discretionary bonus, and 25 days’ holiday with buy/sell flexibility.
