The role provides technical leadership on defined aspects of complex projects, coordinating with project teams to develop appropriate design solutions. The Architectural Designer III applies advanced technical proficiency and sound design judgment while supporting quality control, producing client-facing presentation materials, and presenting technical and design solutions to clients as needed.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the concept design and provides full support through the entire projectApplies advanced architectural concepts and design methods to develop quality design solutionsCollaborate with designers, consultants, and staff to produce architectural drawings, construction documentation, and visualizations that meet client goals and comply with applicable standards, codes, and project requirements using industry‑standard software toolsDevelops and represents lead technical viewpoints on projectsCoordinates with project leadership on appropriate technical solutions and product strategiesDevelop and coordinate architectural specifications to align with construction documents and technical requirementsConduct code research and summarize requirements that inform design decisions, coordination, and documentationPerform quality control reviews throughout the phases of design to support technical accuracy and documentation qualityDevelop client presentation material, meeting documentation, reports, etc.Presents directly to the client on technical and design solutionsProvide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staffParticipate in ongoing professional development activities and demonstrate a commitment to building technical expertise, professional judgment, and continued growth within the firmMay serve in a supporting BIM leadership capacity (e.g., BIM Job Captain) by assisting with model coordination, BIM standards application, and documentation workflows, depending on project needs and experience levelNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired ExperienceB.Arch or M.Arch degree from an NAAB accredited Architecture program10+ years of related architecture experience and 2+ years executing projects of medium to large sizeProficient with computer-assisted design and graphic software such as Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, etc.Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPointUnderstanding ofbasic codes and sustainability requirementsUnderstanding of Building ProgrammingKnowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM)Qualifications PreferredM.Arch degree from an NAAB accredited Architecture programActively pursuing Registered Architect licenseLEED AP accreditationExperience in architectural practice in education, transportation, aviation, community, federal, or a related marketExposure to environmental analysis applications such as Climate Studio, Sefaira, Insight360, and Lady Bug/HoneybeeWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.Travel to JMT locations and project sites is required as needed.#LI-JL1
