Quality Technician - 2nd Shift

Quality TechnicianA growing precision manufacturer is adding a Quality Technician to its second-shift team. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on inspection experience, understands precision-manufactured parts, and is the person who notices when something is off before it becomes a bigger problem.You'll perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections while working with precision measuring equipment, blueprints, CMMs, and quality documentation. This is an addition to the quality team, and the company is open to both developing Quality Technician I candidates and more experienced Quality Technician II-level talent.Quality Technician Benefits and Compensation:$24–$28/hour, depending on experience$2/hour second-shift premiumMonday–Thursday, 2:45 PM–12:45 AMFour 10-hour shifts with a three-day weekendMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time offTraining and development within QualityQuality Technician Requirements & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentHands-on quality inspection or comparable precision manufacturing inspection experienceMechanical aptitude and strong basic math skills, including decimals and dimensional measurementsExperience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or height gaugesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specificationsStrong attention to detail with accurate inspection documentation and recordkeepingReliable attendance and ability to consistently work Monday–Thursday, 2:45 PM–12:45 AMMust Haves:Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished precision components to identify dimensional or quality issues before product moves forwardSelect and properly use measuring equipment based on the feature or tolerance being inspectedVerify calibration status before using inspection equipmentAccurately record measurements, accepted/rejected quantities, and inspection resultsIdentify and communicate nonconforming product and work with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to resolve issuesAbility to consistently maintain a quality mindset where "close enough" isn't the standardQuality Technician Preferred Background & Skills:Previous Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, QC Inspector, CMM Operator, or similar experienceCMM operating experiencePractical knowledge of GD&TPrecision machining or CNC manufacturing background with significant first-piece or in-process inspection responsibilitiesMedical device, aerospace, or other highly regulated precision manufacturing experienceFamiliarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485Experience documenting nonconforming product or participating in corrective/preventive action activitiesLean Manufacturing and 5S experience
