Senior Research Assistant

Department Information The George Washington University Department of Pharmacology & Physiology is an active research department with federally funded programs in neuroscience and development, cardiovascular pharmacology and integrative physiology, genomics, and oncology. It offers unique pre‑ and postdoctoral biomedical research training, teaches Pharmacology and Physiology to Medical and Physician Assistant students, and provides graduate courses through the GW Institute for Biomedical Sciences. Its mission is to deliver high‑quality education, advance scientific knowledge, and improve human health through cutting‑edge biomedical research. Responsibilities Independently conduct research activities in a laboratory setting under guidance from the Principal Investigator. Design and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports and documentation. Assist with manuscript preparation, publications, and generation of data for grant submissions. Apply established procedures within the laboratory and support ongoing research projects and overall scholarly activities. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 1 year of experience in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are highly preferred. Compensation Hiring Range: $18.51 - $33.85 per hour.
