Youth Program Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD

What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills and social‑emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K‑8 students covering subjects such as public speaking and focus, adhering to Alpha’s established framework. Conducting daily motivational meetings that ensure 100% of students reach their weekly application targets through age‑appropriate methods including school currency and leaderboards. Developing Guides via direct observation, specific feedback, and practical training to ensure they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy. Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to detect students requiring support, then providing direct intervention. Personally mentoring your designated student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques required from all Guides. What You Won’t Be Doing Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress through adaptive applications; your responsibility is elevating the people who support them. Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You are primarily an engager and motivator; if you prefer whiteboard instruction, this position isn’t aligned. Compromising standards due to parent or administrative pressure. When a student achieves 99%, the response is “not yet” — and you’ll have institutional support to maintain that expectation. Working from an office reviewing administrative documents. The majority of your time involves direct interaction with students and Guides. Awaiting delayed performance reviews. Outcomes are tracked live in Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately. Youth Program Manager Key Responsibilities Fulfill Alpha’s three promises for your student cohort and the Guides under your leadership: every student enjoys school, advances at 2× speed, and develops authentic life competencies. Basic Requirements Currently residing in or prepared to relocate to one of the listed locations (relocation assistance available). Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master’s preferred; conventional teaching certifications are not required). Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a comparable field. Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training systems. Proven history of managing a team of 5 or more individuals, including recruitment and performance‑based termination authority. Background in coaching, mentoring, or providing developmental feedback to enhance engagement and results. Direct experience working with children ages 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts. Competency in leveraging data and metrics for decision‑making and ongoing improvement. Legal authorization to work in the UnitedStates. Nice‑to‑have Requirements Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or Business. Prior experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly motivated children toward quantifiable objectives. Track record coaching adults in positions where performance was measured and evaluated. Confidence engaging large groups of children and commanding attention in a room full of 8‑year‑olds. Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
