Blue Ridge Care is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our leadership team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance of a growing healthcare organization serving the community through multiple programs and affiliated entities. The Director of Finance reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and serves as a key financial partner to operational leaders across the organization.

Position Summary

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting, financial reporting, payroll, revenue cycle management, business office operations, accounts payable, cash flow management, audit coordination, and financial compliance activities. This individual provides leadership to finance staff, partners closely with operational leaders, and helps drive process improvement initiatives that support Blue Ridge Care's mission and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the organization's financial reporting and accounting functions.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and analyses.
• Oversee revenue cycle management, cash flow management, and business office operations.
• Coordinate annual financial audits, tax filings, retirement plan audits, and cost reports.
• Ensure strong internal controls, accounting systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage corporate insurance programs, banking relationships, and other financial vendor relationships.
• Support annual budgeting, long-range financial planning, and variance analysis activities.
• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to operational and executive leadership.
• Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
• Collaborate with organizational leaders to improve financial and operational performance.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of three years of nonprofit accounting or finance experience.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Preferred

• Master's degree.
• CPA certification.
• Experience in healthcare, hospice, or other post-acute care environments.
• Experience working in multi-entity organizations.
• Experience with NetSuite and Paycom.
• Experience in both nonprofit and for-profit environments.
