Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Warehouse Workers to support a busy distribution facility in Portland, OR. This role is ideal for candidates with warehouse experience who enjoy a physically active work environment and are comfortable operating material handling equipment. The position focuses on order picking, pallet building, loading shipments, and operating electronic pallet jacks while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.
Responsibilities

• Safely lift, move, and handle products weighing up to 50 lbs., including bags of malt, flour, sugar, and similar materials.
• Operate electronic pallet jacks and other material handling equipment throughout the majority of the shift.
• Read pick tickets and labels to accurately select customer orders.
• Pick, stage, and build pallets for outbound shipments.
• Load trailers according to shipping schedules and established safety procedures.
• Utilize RF scanners to locate, pick, and track inventory and customer orders.
• Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers as needed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper product handling and warehouse processes.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and service-level standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and warehouse operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications
Required

• Experience operating electronic pallet jacks in a warehouse or distribution setting.
• Previous order-picking and pallet-building experience.
• Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
• Experience using RF scanners for inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining safety standards.

Preferred

• Experience working in a large distribution center or warehouse facility.
• Familiarity with high-rise racking systems.
• Experience working in a union environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and ability to complete the full temporary assignment.

This position is based in a clean, organized, temperature-controlled distribution facility.
