Position Summary Assistant Store Managers are the heart and soul of the Lids brand—fostering a passion for sporting and fashion goods, meeting customer needs, and ensuring the store performs at key results. They create a fun, inclusive environment for their team while delivering exceptional customer service and expertise on Lids' products and services. People & Training Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc. when the Store Manager is not present. Manage store associates through LIDs Training Programs, goal setting, and regular follow‑up. Administer progressive steps of discipline, including verbal and written warning in the absence of the Store Manager. Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment and helping them understand how their work supports company objectives. Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by establishing supportive working relationships and adhering to Lids Brand Standards. Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates during unexpected peaks when the Store Manager is not present. Participate in LIDS Training Programs, adhere to set goals, and perform regular follow‑up. Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures. Encourage direct compliance with company policies, procedures and guidelines, especially regarding state‑of‑the‑art inventory, funds and property safety. Other duties as assigned. Customer Experience Lead, execute, and assist Lids sales strategy to meet KPIs, sales targets, and deliver exceptional customer service. Resolve customer feedback and address issues in‑moment, including escalations, urgent requests, and ensuring customers are satisfied. Encourage customers to participate in membership programs or special in‑store offers when live through employee education. Adhere to current visual guidelines that include proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Company Dress Code Policy. Operations Execute operations‑focused company‑level directives, promotions, and initiatives from Lids HQ. Understand and adhere to the Policies & Procedures Manual to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain store technology and equipment—including MPOS, Lids Custom—by conducting daily audits, verifying functionality, updating and repairing as instructed. Maintain store facilities, supplies, and services by executing service requests, assessing maintenance needs, placing repair orders, and replenishing supplies. Effectively manage cash, including accurate opening and closing of the till, counterfeit protection practices, and consistent bank drops. Prepare the store for inventory audits and support performance of them as needed to confirm inventory accuracy. Open and close the store as required following the Operations P&P Manual. Product & Inventory Management Protect Company assets within LID's Retail policy guidelines. Assist in preparing store work schedules that provide proper coverage and comply with wage control guidelines. Follow all policies to manage inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts. Strategically organize the backroom to maximize efficiency and productivity. Execute optimal layout and visual merchandising (VM), manage window activations and seasonal or weekly merchandise changes. Maintain the store's look and feel through day‑to‑day VM and store actions. Execute special pricing signage and promotional adjustments to align with overall product sell‑through strategy. Required Knowledge & Skills Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss. Strong interpersonal skills and clear professional verbal communication. Ability to work unsupervised.
