Travel Stepdown Nurse (RN) in Lenexa, KS

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00pm-7:30am
• Three shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call obligations
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs (including July 4th)

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years recent Critical Care/ICU experience
• Proficiency with CRRT, BiPAPs, chest tubes, and PICC lines (manage independently-no vascular access team)
• Skilled in drawing labs, responding to and conducting codes confidently
• Experience floating to ICU and all inpatient units: Med/surg, Med/tele, Acute/tele, and ED
• Valid KS RN or Compact RN License
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Must be comfortable working independently and making clinical decisions
• New graduates are not eligible

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality care to Stepdown/PCU patients
• Float to various inpatient units as needed
• Respond quickly and effectively in emergent situations/codes
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in orientation and ongoing EPIC EMR training
