PROMAN Skilled Trades is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for a commercial electrical contractor. This is NOT a one-machine position. We need an all-around operator who can safely run multiple pieces of equipment and travel between jobsites as needed.

Pay: DOE – Based on Equipment Experience
Location: Fort Worth / DFW – Multiple Jobsites
Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available as Needed
Start: ASAP

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Operate excavators, mini excavators, skid steers and backhoes
• Operate telehandlers / forklifts when needed
• Dig and maintain electrical trenches
• Perform trenching for underground conduit and electrical utilities
• Excavate around existing utilities safely
• Backfill, grade and compact trenches
• Load, move and stage dirt, rock and construction materials
• Assist with underground electrical site preparation
• Work around electricians and underground electrical crews
• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Identify equipment issues before operation
• Maintain safe clearances around workers, structures and utilities
• Load/unload equipment and assist with mobilization between projects
• Help on the ground when equipment operation is not required

EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE WE WANT

Strong candidates should have experience operating several of the following:

• Excavator
• Mini Excavator
• Skid Steer
• Backhoe
• Telehandler
• Forklift
• Trencher
• Compaction Equipment

The more equipment you can safely operate, the stronger the candidate.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred
• Commercial construction experience required
• Underground utility or electrical construction experience strongly preferred
• Must understand trenching, excavation, grading and backfilling
• Must be comfortable digging around existing underground utilities
• Ability to read grade stakes and understand basic site layouts
• Must know proper equipment inspection and safe operating procedures
• Must have required PPE: hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses and work boots
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be willing to travel to different jobsites throughout the DFW area
• Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision
• OSHA 10/30 and equipment certifications are a plus

We are looking for an OPERATOR, not someone who has only used a skid steer a few times. You must be able to safely operate equipment on active commercial construction sites.
