Portfolio Summits, a division of IC Summits, produces investment management conferences that bring together professionals across the RIA, institutional investment, private markets, and broader asset management communities.

The Role

\n

 

\n

We are seeking an engaging, ambitious, and relationship-driven professional to lead audience development for our events, with a primary focus on our RIA and wealth management series.

\n

 

\n

This role is responsible for building relationships with financial advisors, wealth management executives, and other senior industry professionals, recruiting qualified attendees, and contributing to event programming.

\n

 

\n

The ideal candidate is a natural relationship-builder with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to engage confidently with senior decision-makers. While financial services experience is a plus, we are primarily looking for someone with the personality, drive, and interpersonal skills to develop lasting professional relationships.

Responsibilities

\n

 

\n

\n
• Own audience development and attendee recruitment for assigned events
\n
• Build and maintain relationships with RIAs, financial advisors, wealth management professionals, and other industry leaders
\n
• Recruit attendees primarily through phone outreach, meetings, referrals, networking, and targeted communication
\n
• Manage a pipeline of prospective and confirmed attendees and work toward event attendance goals
\n
• Develop an understanding of our audience's priorities, challenges, and interests
\n
• Contribute to event programming by identifying relevant topics, speakers, and industry trends
\n
• Represent Portfolio Summits at company events, meetings, and industry networking opportunities
\n
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and leadership to support successful events
\n

Qualifications

\n

 

\n

\n
• 1–2 years of experience in a client-facing role, such as sales, business development, account management, recruiting, hospitality, or relationship management
\n
• Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage senior-level professionals
\n
• Strong relationship-building abilities and genuine enthusiasm for meeting and connecting with new people
\n
• Comfortable with frequent phone outreach, professional networking, and working toward measurable goals
\n
• Self-motivated, ambitious, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
\n
• Excellent organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail
\n
• Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
\n
• Interest in financial services, investment management, and business events; prior industry experience is a plus, but not required
\n

Compensation & Benefits

• $70,000–$75,000 base salary; $85,000–$90,000 OTE
\n

• Hybrid schedule with 2–3 days per week in our Midtown Manhattan office
