Senior Estimator | Framing & Drywall – Northern California Region Commercial Construction | Preconstruction | Bidding & Client Relations A well-established commercial contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts for metal stud framing and drywall scopes across a range of commercial building types. This individual will play a critical role in generating competitive bids, collaborating with GC partners, and driving early-stage project success. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong estimating background and deep understanding of metal stud framing and drywall systems in commercial construction. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed takeoffs and pricing using estimating software (OnCenter, BuzzBid, Plexxis/Winbid) Partner with general contractors during budgeting and conceptual design phases Generate and submit accurate, timely proposals across various market sectors Lead bid efforts and secure signed contracts for awarded work Collaborate with design and engineering teams on design-build opportunities Coordinate with internal BIM teams when needed to support project scope Produce job-cost budgets and assist with project handoffs and kick-off activities Maintain and grow relationships with GC partners to support repeat business Represent the company in meetings with general contractors, clients, and design teams Promote clear communication between estimating, field teams, and leadership Provide market and cost feedback to inform ongoing business development and pricing strategies Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in metal stud framing, drywall, or related commercial construction estimating Strong knowledge of construction materials, means, and methods for wall and ceiling systems Proficiency in takeoff and estimating tools such as OnCenter, BuzzBid, Plexxis/Winbid Familiarity with software platforms such as Excel, Outlook, PlanGrid, Fieldwire, Procore, and scheduling tools Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines Strong communication and client-facing skills Experience working on mid-to-large scale commercial projects across diverse sectors If you’re a seasoned Estimator ready to take the lead on complex commercial projects and work with top-tier GC partners, this role offers long-term growth, ownership, and impact from day one. #J-18808-Ljbffr siliconbeachrecruiter.com
