Infection Preventionist / Staff Development

Facility: Heartland Nursing & Rehabilitation Position: Infection Preventionist / Staff Development Nurse Location: Palm Beach County, FL Schedule: Full‑Time | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour Join Our Team as an Infection Preventionist / Staff Development Nurse Heartland Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our Infection Prevention and Staff Development programs. This key leadership role ensures the highest standards of infection control, staff education, and regulatory compliance within our skilled nursing facility. Key Responsibilities Oversee new hire orientation, ongoing staff training, and competency validation Coordinate annual skills training and required in‑service education programs Manage and monitor the Infection Prevention & Control Program Conduct infection control rounds and lead outbreak investigations Track, analyze, and report infection trends to leadership and committees Provide ongoing infection prevention education to staff Participate in QAPI (Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement) initiatives Monitor employee compliance with immunizations, TB testing, and respiratory protection Prepare and present infection control and quality reports Support regulatory survey readiness and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines Qualifications Active Florida RN License (required) Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a skilled nursing facility or nursing home Certification or specialized training in Infection Prevention & Control (preferred) Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) (preferred) Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Benefits Comprehensive Medical & Dental Insurance Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Recognition Programs Supportive and collaborative team environment Company perks and employee discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr WLC Management Firm
