Interventional Cardiologist

Position Overview:

Our organization is in search of a talented and committed Interventional Cardiologist to become a part of our vibrant cardiology team nestled in the stunning mountains of Western North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases, particularly through interventional techniques. This position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-focused care, aid in the expansion and enhancement of the cardiology department, and engage in ongoing educational and research activities.

Practice Environment:

• Utilization of advanced techniques such as OCT/IVUS, physiologic assessments with microvascular testing, Shockwave therapy, and Impella devices.

• A robust referral network.

• Access to a cutting-edge GE Cath Lab, projected to conduct 2000 diagnostic catheterizations and 300 PCI procedures in 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct a variety of interventional cardiology procedures, including but not limited to angioplasty, stenting, and other catheter-based interventions.

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with intricate cardiovascular issues.

• Participate in a 1:3 on-call rotation and provide emergency care as required.

• Perform hospital rounds and consultations alongside outpatient clinic duties.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of medical records in accordance with hospital policies.

• Experience with permanent pacemaker procedures is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.

• Board certification in both Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

• A valid medical license to practice in North Carolina.

• Demonstrated experience in executing complex interventional procedures.
