Electrical Engineer

While we are laser focused on quality and reliability, we strive to maintain a culture that promotes creativity, innovation, comradery, and fun!Responsibilities:Performs detailed electronic design, troubleshooting, validation, and qualification of power, analog, and digital circuits including microprocessor and EPLD-based systems designUtilizing digital skills to produce the required Built-In-Testing coverage and achieve the data rates and responsiveness required to interrupt faults and report information to the cockpitRegularly interface with other engineering disciplines, both local and remote, to perform development and design validation activitiesSupports manufacturing activities during prototype builds, executing startup and DVT testing of new designs, and the completion of detailed FTA and FMECA analysis.Provides technical product support and troubleshooting as necessary to manufacturing, customers and end usersLeverages knowledge of aircraft electrical system concepts and aerospace industry standards to develop system architecturesResearches, recommends, and develops technologies, processes, and methods to meet both customer and AMETEK goalsAnalyzes and decomposes customer requirements into design requirements while ensuring compliance with safety, redundance, and reliability requirementsResponsible for the high-level coordination of cross-functional engineering teams during all phases of system integration testingPrepares technical proposals and cost estimatesRequired Skills and Experience:Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 3-5 yrs of relevant engineering design work experienceDemonstrated ability and willingness to useAItools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.Experience designing analog, digital, microprocessor, and high-power AC/DC circuitsA track record of on-time delivery of project milestonesAbility to produce accurate, detailed electronic schematicsHands-on experience with oscilloscopes, dataloggers, analyzers, programmable waveform generators, power supplies, and programmable loadsAbility to write technical requirements Strong problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detailPositive, can-do attitudeGreat communication and documentation skillsPreferred Skills and Experience:Airborne electronic hardware development experience using DO-160 and DO-254.Experience with one or more of the following: I2C, SPI, RS485, CANBus, ARINC 429Schematic capture using AltiumSome programming experience preferred. (C, C++, C#, Python, Visual Basic, or other)Requirements capture using DOORSFamiliarity with ARP-4754A
