Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position in Walla Walla, Washington. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients within a short-term acute care facility. The therapist will work night shifts, with responsibilities including ventilator management, high flow therapy, and other critical respiratory procedures, serving a diverse patient population.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington State license, minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred, current NRP certification preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience, experience with ventilator management, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) familiarity, prior work in a short-term acute care or trauma center environment
• Additional Information: The role requires flexibility to float within various units, performing procedures such as aerosol therapy, tracheostomy care, inhaled medication administration, arterial blood gas interpretation, and use of specialized equipment like BiPAP and CPAP devices. The facility supports interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, physical, and radiology services, and handles a mix of neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
