Material Handler/Picker 47553

1st shift, 5am-1:30pm weekdays, $21.75

2nd shift, 1:30pm-12am Mon-Thurs, $23.25

The Material Handler plays a vital role in our operations by efficiently handling materials and finished goods within the plant and on plant grounds. This position involves operating industrial lift trucks and other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Move materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using power equipment (e.g., LP Sit-down and Electric standup) or by hand when appropriate.
• Perform picking and packing tasks.
• Conduct cycle counting and generate reports.
• Load and unload materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, shelves, or vehicles.
• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent in-transit movement or damage.
• Count and record units moved or handled; attach material/product identification tags/labels.
• Assemble crates and pallets for material/product storage and shipment.
• Maximum lifting requirement: 50 pounds (occasionally), 25 pounds (frequently).

Requirements:

• 3+ years material handling/forklift in manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand job requirements, shop drawings, and blueprints.
• Must have strong experience with Stand-Up forklifts and RF Scan Gun preferred.
• Related technical training (high school or beyond) is desirable but not essential.
