Job Summary Create and refine systems engineering processes at GDOTS Healdsburg/Folsom for implementation across programs for hardware and software | Derive, trace, and manage system requirements throughout program lifecycles using management software tools | Coordinate design change impact assessments on products and subassemblies | Host meetings with internal and customer stakeholders to mature and manage requirements; lead major milestone reviews | Lead and support ongoing program activities such as risk management, reliability analyses, and trade studies.*We are on a 9/80 schedule (9 hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, opposite Fridays 8 hour days) Impact of the Role General ProfileRequires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines Solves complex problems Works independently, receives minimal guidanceMay lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experienceConsistent exercise of discretion & judgment Essential Functions Responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. Designs, implements, installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures. May have sole responsibility for projects and participate in disaster recovery exercises. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experienceDiscipline/Major: Engineering degree requiredCritical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's DegreeKnowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Analytical thinking skills. Problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. Travel Requirements Up to 25% travel likely. Pay Range (USD) $105,000.00 - $142,000.00 Additional Compensation Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
