District Expectations Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. Support the district’s vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan. Engage in civility, respect, and professionalism. Maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions. Responsibilities Design and implement instruction aligned with state standards, district curriculum, and students’ needs. Create a positive learning environment based on respect and rapport. Deliver engaging and rigorous lessons to maximize student achievement. Use diverse teaching practices to meet students' cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Assess and monitor student performance, progress, grades, and attendance. Manage classroom behavior with effective strategies and disciplinary procedures. Communicate regularly with parents and school personnel about student progress. Ensure health and safety of students and secure equipment and records. Maintain required certifications and participate in professional development. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Information Effective communication skills (verbal and written). Minimum qualifications include Florida Temporary Certification; Florida Professional Educator Certificate preferred. Physical Demands Activities include standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing. Lifting up to 10 pounds.
