Step into a rewarding assignment supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in vibrant educational communities in the Fort Pierce, FL area. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in collaborative school environments and are committed to making a positive impact on student communication and learning outcomes.
Both positions align with maternity leave coverage—one at a K-8 school with an inclusive caseload featuring multiple ASD units, and the other at a high school, complete with on-site support from a SLPA. Each SLP will have a dedicated campus, allowing for focused engagement and continuity of care with students and staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Florida SLP license (CCC required)
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Comfortable managing diverse caseloads across K-8 or high school age groups
- Familiarity with ASD populations and inclusion settings is a plus
- Ability to meet district credentialing and fingerprint requirements (expedited through the AHCA Clearinghouse for those previously printed)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services according to IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success
- Complete evaluations, progress monitoring, and documentation efficiently
- Engage in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team planning
- Support transition and coverage needs during maternity leave assignments
Assignment Details:
- 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Single school per assignment for uninterrupted service delivery
- On-site roles beginning in September or October (depending on coverage dates)
